Following in the footsteps of Kirstie Alley, Valerie Bertinelli and Jason Alexander, funnywoman Carrie Fisher has announced that she is the newest spokesperson for weight loss program Jenny Craig.
Fisher made the announcement at a New York City press conference on Wednesday, where she posed for pictures (no doubt helpful for future "before and after" ads) and answered questions about her decision to promote Jenny Craig products. She explained, "A day comes when you want to stop apologizing for it. I am more hopeful now than ever, because I have made this commitment, and I have my Jenny Craig consultant supporting me in my journey."
The one-time Princess Leia also tweeted, "I feel like a total gonk promoting anything, it's not my style. But it actually works so there." [via]
