Like many a model before her, Brooklyn Decker is opening up about the unhealthy habits she once had in the pursuit of a leaner silhouette. The blond beauty, 23, covers the February issue of Self magazine (via Daily Mail) with an accompanying interview that details the model's experience trying to maintain a certain image.
"When I moved to New York, I was always with other aspiring models. There were bingers and purgers, and everyone watched each other eat. It freaked me out," Decker admits. "I did juice fasts and crazy diets and ended up gaining weight. My father did an intervention and got me to stop obsessing about everyone else and wrecking my body."
These days, Decker seems to have a healthy attitude about food. "Eating is more fulfilling if you talk about what you should eat rather than what you shouldn't . . . Instead of worrying about what foods might have too much fat or sugar, think, 'Oh, I should eat these blueberries for the antioxidants.'" [via]
