Gina and Nate were married on “The Common” in the center of the quaint town of Irasburg Vermont, on June 26th, 2010. The wedding was filled with personal touches that reflected what is most important to the couple; their friends, families, and music.
The bride and her bridal party walked out of their parent’s front door onto the common, where the aisle was lined with white birch tree stumps decorated with beautiful hand-picked wildflowers in mason jars. A special song was played for the couple during the ceremony, by Gina’s Sister and brother-in-law. Musical talent runs in the family. For Nate, it was love at first sight when he met Gina, while she was performing as a singer in a local bluegrass band. So it was fitting that a bluegrass band was the entertainment for the evening.
The bride wore a tea length v-neck gown with a tulle skirt. Her hair had a loose natural look and was adorned with a beautiful silk flower from M&J Bridal. She wanted her dress to be short and fun so she could dance to “some good ol’ down-home bluegrass music”-Gina.
The reception took place at an old town hall, just steps away. The interior had an elegant, rustic feel. Guests enjoyed locally brew beers, wood fire smoked pork and chicken, and fiddleheads, which were picked by a family member. The earth tone color palette of yellows, browns, and greens were seen throughout the table linins and décor. Potted plants borrowed from friends and family took the place of cut flowers as the centerpieces.
