Lady Gaga may have sparked a "trend-erloin" with the Franc Fernandez raw meat dress she donned at this year's MTV VMAs, but the pop star's beefy ensemble had, as one can imagine, its own specific set of sirloin style challenges.
Sam McKnight, celebrity hairstylist and Pantene global ambassador, first fastened on Gaga's dazzling ombre wig, which he had dyed a lavender-gray and dipped in sea blue at the ends.
Next, he topped the look off with not a barrette or a flower, but a juicy filet of steak.
"It was smelly and very difficult to place a steak on top of the wig," says McKnight. "There were a few flies."
The hair styling pro laughs when he recalls Cher's reaction after hugging the singer when she presented her with the Video of the Year award for 'Bad Romance.'
"I think she thought it was plastic," he adds.
